Change of name..

It was an old name and needed updating. Plus this new one is pretty accurate hahaha

Here are some drawings from my life drawing classes last month. I'm not really attending anymore, I have more pressing things. Despite the fact that it was fun and quite relaxing.
I'm particularly pleased with the hands and feet, as I'm not usually too good at them. And the proportion.

It's a good job I like green...

Because that's what colour I shall be surrounded by for the next few months.
I organised my wall today, so that I can see all my photographs and inspirations, I'll probably add to it and change it though.

I also did a small amount of drawing...
(the photo's look a bit strange because I took them as it was getting dark, and without a light on)

And finally, it was the first nice sunset I have seen this year, I've always been fascinated by clouds.

Candice Tripp - Our Horrible Mistake

I loved this because it reminded me of the octopus/sea monster drawings that I did over the summer. I meant to turn one into a proper painting but never had time. A project for post-graduation perhaps.

I promise

That after next week I'll be more active with this blog.
I have to finish my dissertation, I've gone from being just over 5,000 words in total to now being 6,347 in the first three chapters. -sigh-
It's going to be a long day.

Though I have been procrastinating rather terribly, here's a self portrait that I did on Tuesday...

Lack of Communication

I managed to move back to Nottingham relatively hassle free.
We just had to survive the past week and a half without the internet. Ha, I say it like it's one of the most difficult things to do. The novelty has almost worn off already. I feel like I ought to be getting on with some drawing, or painting.

Three days in to a new year and I already feel snowed under with work. It's nice to be back though, to feel motivated towards something.
This terms theme: Native Americans.
I'm about to go surfing the blogs of the world for some inspiring images.
I'll finish with a photo of the first page of my sketchbook.
(Small and crappy quality...all i have is my webcam!)

Damson Jam

I was supposed to be making some damson jam with my dad today. It's a shame that I can't control this sleeping pattern.
I've been thinking more about my octopus drawings and what to do with them.
I've been planning a painting of one for quite some time, I just need to find my painting skills again. I haven't done a proper painting for years, not since art college.

Suckers

I love to draw with fineliner. The inky, scratchy qualities.
This is just a little detail of a sketch of an octopus. The whole picture didn't turn out to my liking in the end.

Say, that header is so boring. I'll make a better one.
